What happens when a movement of the Holy Spirit is pirated by atheist and agnostic thinkers? Though the foundation of modern science is prodigiously Christian, it’s time for believers to recognize that it has been many years since its powers have been redirected away from the righteous purpose of worship by supporting the health of God’s perfect created systems.
In Science on the Dock, St. John argues that modern science has left its ability to support healthy living behind when it rejected God. The scientific saturation which has become normal in our society is not only unhelpful to believers, but is actually hazardous. It distracts from the believers' ability to follow the Holy Spirit, undermines their confidence in God as their true protector and provider, and leads them down paths which are designed to provide limited comfort and safety to people who have no hope. It is a weak and insipid substitute for the awesome and personal power of God.
In Evolution Under the Glass, St. John argues that, though the scientific debate between creationists and evolutionists is becoming more and more inaccessible and esoteric, quickly outpacing the lay-person’s ability to make informed judgments, believers have another, much more accessible way to weigh the merits of evolutionary theory. This book describes the various ways which the theory of evolution violates basic biblical philosophies, rendering it entirely incompatible with any true Christian sensibility.
